Important Ferry Changes for Port Liberté
During the last week of September, the NY Waterway will be modifying the ferry routes to accommodate the upcoming PGA Presidents Cup. See the notice below for the exact changes:
“Due to the PGA Presidents Cup occurring at Liberty National Golf Club during the last week of September, NY Waterway will be suspending ferry service to/from the Battery Maritime Building/Slip 5 in New York City from Tuesday, September 26 thru Friday, September 29.
The following options will be available to Port Liberté residents during this PGA service disruption:
- Port Liberté residents will have direct free access to PGA ferries servicing World Financial Center (Brookfield Place/Battery Park City) in lower Manhattan.
There will be a special charter ferry for PGA attendees to and from Brookfield Place/Battery Park City (WFC). Port Liberté residents can ride this ferry for free. This ferry will run approximately every 20 minutes each day Sep 26 thru 29, from 8:45am to 6:30pm.
- As the schedule for these PGA ferries is not ideal for many commuters, customers can use their valid Port Liberté ticket on any of our other Jersey City routes to New York City out of Liberty Harbor and Paulus Hook.
- Customers possessing a valid Port Liberté ferry ticket will be able to park free at Liberty Harbor.
- NY Waterway will provide free shuttle bus service between Port Liberté and our Liberty Harbor ferry terminal.
AM Shuttle Bus Departures (from Port Liberté):
6:30, 7:30, 8:30 and 9:30am
PM Shuttle Bus Departures (from Liberty Harbor):
4:15, 5:15, 6:15, 7:15, 8:15 and 9pm
