Welcome to Port Liberte, Rabbi Katz!

This summer, Rabbi Aaron Katz moved to Port Liberte and took over as the new rabbi at the Congregation of B’nai Jacob on West Side Avenue in Jersey City. Now that it’s September, Rabbi Katz has been able to start up new community programs at the synagogue.

Rabbi Katz’s goal is to bring Jersey City and the entire Hudson County area together. He has a heart for social equality and human rights, and he wants B’nai Jacob to be an inclusive community center for everyone, regardless of generation, sexual orientation, or gender. You can read more about him in this Hudson Reporter article.

Rabbi Katz intends to incorporate community programs that include art, music, featured authors, and cooking, as well as offering services in Spanish.
