The Local Jersey City Experience
What are your plans for this week? Are you stopping by the farmers’ market?
My husband and I love to shop local and see everything that’s offered — the scallops, shrimp, and fresh breads are just amazing. We recommend stopping by not only for the organic food and treats but to get a unique picture of what it’s like to live in this community.
If you’re interested in checking out the local vendors this week, here’s what’s offered at the farmers’ markets in Jersey City.
Monday & Thursday: Downtown Jersey City
Time: 4pm – 8pm | Location: Grove PATH Plaza
What’s offered? Over 25 vendors sell everything including farm fresh produce, empanadas, local honey, organic ingredients, and more at the historic downtown Jersey City farmers’ market, which runs May through December.
Saturday: Van Vorst Park
Time: 8:30am – 3pm | Location: Gazebo
What’s offered? Prepared foods, dried fruits, skin care products, and other locally produced goods are highlights of the Van Vorst Park farmers market.
